--- UPDATE (30th June 2020) ---
Trial opening of our restaurant this weekend!
After the success of our takeaway service, we are now going to open our restaurant as a trial for Dinner (Saturday 4th July) and Sunday Lunch (Sunday 5th July). Due to social distancing measures, tables are limited. Please contact us through the Reservations form or call us on 0191 372 0564 to book a table.
In parallel, we are continuing with our takeaway service. To order, please ring 0191 372 0564 between 10am and 6pm. It will help if you ring a day in advance, to be sure that we will have your menu choices.
When you order, you will be given a time to collect your meal, and when you arrive to collect, you will see your order in a paper bag (with your name on it) on a table just inside the front door.
Payment is cash or card, and we are able to accept contactless payment, or you may prefer to pay in advance over the phone.
We are following the government guidelines in respect of social distancing, and practising scrupulous hygiene.
The safety of our guests is our priority, and for this reason only one person is permitted to pick up your order.
Bistro Citron Vert is in the former pit village of High Pittington in County Durham. The 200-year-old sandstone building is surrounded by fields - the perfect place to relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery.
Cary Kayll is the cook and owner. The menu is traditional French and European bistro fare, with some modern dishes introduced from time to time.
We use local, seasonal ingredients, and our aim is to ensure all our dishes are tasty and unfussy. The atmosphere here is definitely relaxed, and we have an excellent French wine list to complement the menu perfectly.
